Highland Grass is a well known bluegrass band from the tri-state area of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Highland Grass has been playing  bluegrass  music in the Allegheny Mountain Region for the past 3 decades. The band has featured quite a number of talented musicians through the years with the present group leaving nothing to be desired when it comes to talent.

Joe Winebrenner- guitar/ vocals/ song writer   Joe started playing the mandolin with his brother, Gene,  and formed the band of "Gene & Joe and the Valley Troubadours". After many successful years and the dissolving of the band, Joe continued playing and formed the "Highland Grass". Today Joe manages the Highland Grass band and continues to write songs, two that are featured on the new CD.

Homer Beeman- fiddle/ vocals  Homer also started with Gene & Joe, but later formed his own family group, "The Country Gospel Singers". In 1999 Homer rejoined Highland Grass.  Homer adds an unfogettable, unique, piercing, high harmony that can not be found in most bluegrass bands today.

Donna Winebrenner- vocals   Donna began singing with her sister on a weekly, live radio show on WELD Fisher, WV. In 1995 Donna joined the Highland Grass group. It is not uncommon to see Donna get a standing ovation at every show for her unforgettable strong, clear voice.

Janet Winebrenner- Upright bass  Even though Janet has been playing the upright bass for less than two years, she has taking her driving, slap-style bass playing to new heights. janet is a real crowd pleaser! In concert you will see her in constant motion, rocking and dancing with her bass.

Joe Winebrenner Jr.- banjo   After playing the bass for many years, Joe Jr. switched to the banjo. Adopting the "Scruggs" style playing and adding an occassional frilly lick has become the basis for his banjo playing.
